House in La Florida

Remodeling of a single family house in the south center of Mexico City.

From the original seventies house only the main walls and concrete slabs remain. The remodeling was based in the reinforcement of the structure and partial modification of the layouts (enlargement of the living room, new semi open kitchen, relocation of program). There are new interior and exterior finishes, stairs, terraces, as well as new installations.

The result is a house with a clear organization, large windows, much light and a great relation to the garden. The finishes were selected by their natural expressiveness and soft and neutral colors. A modest application of contrasting colors creates a house with a happy and kind  atmosphere.
